Connections are the foundation of ShiftSee. You can only send a targeted shift request to a connected shifter.
Three ways to connect with a shifter
1. QR code scan. Whenever a shifter is physically at your business, ask them to scan your QR code. Both sides confirm and they're connected.
2. Send them a connection request from their profile. Browse Browse Shifters or use the global search. Open a shifter's public profile and click Connect. The shifter gets the request and either accepts or declines.
3. Accept their request. Shifters can also send you connection requests. They show up in Connection Requests → Incoming on your dashboard.
After you're connected
- They appear in your Connected Shifters list.
- You can send them targeted shift requests directly.
- You can DM them through Messaging.
- They appear under the Crew tab on your public business profile (visible to other connected shifters).
Connection vs. broadcast
You don't need a connection to broadcast a shift to your whole crew, but you do need a connection to send a targeted shift request to a specific person. Broadcasts go out to everyone you're already connected with; targeted requests go to one person you've chosen.
Disconnecting a shifter
If a working relationship ends, you can disconnect from your Connected Shifters page. The shifter is silently dropped (no notification). Past shifts and history are preserved.
