The release notes at /release-notes and the blog at /blog cover what's actually shipping. Here's the high-altitude view of what's coming.
Soon (next 4-8 weeks)
- Mobile push parity: every push notification we send web-side also lands on mobile.
- Shift swap between connected shifters: a shifter can offer to swap their shift with another shifter on the same business; the business approves with one tap.
- Configurable last-minute cancel fee: businesses choose whether shifters who cancel within 4 hours pay a small fee (or whether the business pays a fee for last-minute business-side cancellations).
Medium term (8-16 weeks)
- External Partner API v1: third-party apps can integrate ShiftSee shift requests, connections, and embeds. See /admin#/api-docs for the schema preview if you're an integrator. The phased v1 / v1.5 / v2 plan is documented internally; v1 lands first.
- Schedule widget for embed: a shift-schedule widget partners can drop into their own site (calendar.shiftsee.com style).
- Rich shift-detail templates: per-business shift templates so the same recurring shift doesn't need to be entered from scratch every week.
Longer term
- Self-hosted AI tutorial videos: pipeline that turns help articles into short narrated screencasts. Already partway there.
- Advanced reporting: dashboards for businesses with more than ~20 shifts/month who need finance-grade summaries.
- International payouts beyond Stripe Connect supported regions.
What we deliberately don't do
- We don't try to be a payroll system. Stripe Connect handles money; payroll for W2 employees is a different beast.
- We don't run background checks. There are good third-party services for that; we'd rather link out than do a half job.
- We don't sell data. Ever. Our revenue is the platform fees, not your patterns.
