You can disconnect at any time. Past shifts, payments, and the conversation thread are preserved on both sides.
As a shifter
- Connected Businesses tab in your shifter dashboard.
- Find the business, click Disconnect.
- Confirm.
As a business
- Connected Shifters tab in your business dashboard.
- Find the shifter, click Disconnect.
- Confirm.
What happens after disconnect
- The other side is not notified. (We deliberately don't make a fuss; sometimes connections drift apart and that's fine.)
- They can no longer send you shift requests.
- You can no longer DM each other freely; new messages from the disconnected side land in your Requests tab as if they were a stranger.
- Past shifts and the payment record remain visible in your history forever.
- The conversation thread stays in your inbox; you can scroll back through it but neither side can post new messages without a new connection.
Reconnecting later
Either side can send a new connection request at any time. Past shift history doesn't auto-restore the connection, but it does feed our connection-strength ranking, so finding each other again is easy.
