What is "Schedule Myself" and when do I use it?

How business owners book themselves on their own business calendar.

Schedule Myself sends a shift request from your business to your own shifter profile. It's the cleanest way for owners and operators to put themselves on the calendar.

Why bother?

Because the shift becomes a real, addressable record. You can:

  • See it in the business calendar alongside everyone else's shifts.
  • Apply the same role tagging (bartender, server, line cook) so reports add up.
  • Have it count toward your shifter stats and reliability score.
  • Generate the same payment record (yes, even when you pay yourself; it's bookkeeping).

Won't I be paying myself?

Yes, technically. The math runs: business pays base pay + 10% fee, shifter (you) receives base pay - 10% fee. Net you're out the platform fees and Stripe processing on a self-shift. Most operators decide this is worth it for the clean records.

If you'd rather not pay yourself, set the hourly rate to $0.00 when scheduling yourself. The shift records itself but no money moves and no Stripe fee applies.

How to find it

Open the business dashboard, click Schedule shift as you would for any shift. The shifter list shows your own shifter profile alongside connected shifters; it's the one with the You pill.
