ShiftSee is a shift-work marketplace for small and mid-sized businesses and the people who work shifts at them. It connects shifters (workers) with the places that need work done, manages the shift requests between them, and handles payments end to end.
How it works in one minute
- Businesses post shifts they need filled, either targeted at a specific shifter ("hey Pat, want this Friday?") or broadcast to the whole connected crew.
- Shifters accept, decline, or counter-offer on each shift request. Negotiation on time and rate is built in.
- Once a shift is worked, the business is charged and the shifter is paid through Stripe Connect. Both sides get the receipts and the platform handles the math.
Two profiles per account
Every ShiftSee account has both a shifter profile and a business profile, auto-created the moment you sign up. You toggle between them via the Shifter / Business pill in the top-left of the app. This is intentional: a lot of small business owners are also shifters at someone else's place. We don't want you to manage two accounts.
