How to delete your ShiftSee account

What is disabled immediately, how 30-day recovery works, and which legal records remain anonymized.

Account deletion has a 30-day recovery window. It applies to every login identity linked to the same ShiftSee account.

To delete

  1. Open User Settings > Account > Delete account.
  2. Review the retention notice and confirm. ShiftSee signs the account out everywhere, revokes API and connected-app credentials, hides its business and shifter profiles, and stops new account activity immediately.
  3. To recover the account during the next 30 days, sign in with a verified password or one-time code and choose Restore account. Support cannot restore an account after the deadline.

Removed after 30 days

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, profile biographies, photos, availability, credentials, resumes, and role preferences.
  • Personal API keys, sessions, trusted devices, notification history, onboarding data, and private AI/support drafts.
  • Message bodies sent by the account are replaced with a deletion notice in shared threads.

Retained in anonymized form

  • Completed shift records, invoices, refunds, payouts, and transaction history required for accounting, tax, fraud, chargeback, and dispute obligations.
  • Reviews and shared operational records that belong to another participant; they no longer expose the deleted identity.
  • Security and administrator audit events required to prove that the deletion was performed.

Owned business profiles are hidden when deletion starts. ShiftSee retains business and financial records needed by collaborators or active obligations; transfer ownership before deleting if another teammate must keep operating the business. Payment methods are disabled in ShiftSee. Stripe may separately retain transaction or identity records under its own legal policy.
