Managing notifications: push, email, and quiet hours

Tune which notifications you get, when, and via which channel.

ShiftSee notifies you about:

  • New shift requests
  • Connection requests
  • Messages
  • Payment events (paid out, charge succeeded, charge failed)
  • Reviews left for you

Channels

Each event can be tuned across in-app, push (mobile + browser), and email.

Go to User Settings → Notifications to set your preferences. The defaults err on the side of more notifications; turn things off as you decide what you actually want to know.

Quiet hours

A daily window where push and email are silenced (in-app still records). Useful if your shifts run late or you want to keep evenings phone-free.

Set quiet hours in User Settings → Notifications → Quiet hours. They follow your time zone (set in User Settings → Profile).

Why didn't I get a notification?

  • Your device might not be registered for push (open the mobile app at least once).
  • Email might be in spam (whitelist notifications@shiftsee.com).
  • You're inside quiet hours.
  • The event type is turned off in your prefs.
  • The other side took an action that doesn't fire a notification (e.g., reading your message).

Critical events you can't disable

For trust-and-safety reasons, a small set of events always send: payment failures, account-security alerts, and admin warnings. These bypass quiet hours.
