Your availability tells connected businesses when you can work. They see it on your public profile and won't typically send you shifts on days you're marked unavailable.
Where to set it
- Go to your Shifter Profile (top-right avatar → User Settings → Availability tab).
- Toggle each day of the week between Available and Unavailable.
- Save.
What this does NOT do
- It does not block shift requests on unavailable days. A business can still send you one. You can decline.
- It does not cap how many shifts you accept. We trust you to manage your schedule.
What it DOES do
- Surfaces your availability on your public shifter profile so businesses know upfront.
- Helps the matching logic when broadcasts go out: connected shifters who are marked available on the shift date are notified first.
Pausing all shift requests
If you need to step away entirely (vacation, injury, etc.), use the Accept shift requests toggle in your Profile Settings. Set to Off and you'll stop receiving new shift requests until you turn it back on. Existing accepted shifts are unaffected.
