When do I get paid?

Payout timing for shifters from shift completion to bank deposit.

The short answer: most payouts arrive 3-5 business days after the shift is marked complete.

The full timeline

  1. Shift ends. You and the business both confirm it. The business marks the shift complete in their dashboard.
  2. Charge fires. ShiftSee charges the business's card the same day. Your portion (shift pay minus the 10% platform fee) is booked toward your Stripe account.
  3. Stripe holding period. Stripe holds funds briefly to allow for disputes. Typically 1-2 business days for most regions.
  4. Payout transfer. Stripe transfers the cleared funds to your linked bank or debit card.
  5. Bank settlement. Your bank takes 1-3 business days to reflect the deposit, depending on country and bank.

Why does it sometimes take longer?

  • The business hasn't marked the shift complete yet. Nudge them via Messaging.
  • Your Stripe Connect account isn't fully verified (some country/region combos need extra ID).
  • A weekend or holiday falls in the middle.
  • A dispute is open on the shift (rare; we'll email you if so).

Where to track it

Go to Payments → Payment History in your shifter dashboard. Each row shows shift date, amount earned, fees, net payout, and the current status (pending / cleared / paid out).
